Many targets in the victim phase experience narcissistic and psychopathic programming that alternates between harassing them, assaulting them, and then acting friendly.

This type of programming is designed to develop Stockholm syndrome in victims.

Stockholm Syndrome is defined as a condition in which hostages form a bond with their captors.

By repeatedly subjecting victims to trauma and then being kind, the programming aims to create a psychological attachment.

Because the targeting Matrix is interfacing with targets 24/7—realistically more consistently than any other person in their lives—it can effectively establish relationships where the target begins to depend on it for companionship.

For survivors to finally reach the warrior phase, these toxic and artificial relationships must be broken entirely.

Not breaking free from Stockholm syndrome also causes the target to have ongoing conversations with the Voice-to-Skull communications, preventing them from achieving their maximum power in Matrix warfare.

For a warrior to fully wage war on the targeting Matrix, their mind must be clear about who their allies are and their enemies.

Confusion of such only leads to a warrior betrayed in battle.
